2,000 years ago, ceramic fragments told the story of ancient civilizations. Today, with a world population exceeding 8 billion, our growing consumption of ceramics raises a crucial question: what will we leave to future generations? Will they be amazed by our remains or confronted with a planet saturated with unrecycled waste? Our team wants to reinvent our way of producing by valorizing existing resources, so that our waste becomes a sustainable and meaningful resource.
Ceramics are beautiful, noble but also irreversible: once formed, they cannot be remelted or reformed, making their recycling almost impossible. This observation led me, as a designer, to rethink the ecological impact of our choice of materials.
Our raw material is collected from local communities and businesses, then transformed in our workshop near Strasbourg, where all our objects are designed and manufactured. Thanks to a low-tech process without firing, using local materials, we produce unique or mass-produced pieces, with a minimal carbon footprint and very low water and energy consumption.
This innovative material was designed to support designers and architects in the environmental transition of the design sector. By favoring recycled materials, a process that respects the life cycle of objects and sustainable production, we adopt an authentic approach.
No two ceramic fragments are identical in the mixture, which gives each creation its unique character.
Production in France, in order to reduce our carbon footprint while promoting local know-how.
